It would be impossible to carry out a disruptive project like Hydnum Steel without an ecosystem of collaboration. Thanks to our incredible partners, we are on our way to building the first green steel mill in the Iberian Peninsula.
With more than three decades of experience in the steel industry, Russula is the driving force behind the project and will also be responsible for coordination, engineering management and equipment supply.
"This paradigm shift is already unstoppable. In a few years there will be no alternative, all steel will be green, or it won't be marketable. What Hydnum Steel is proposing is to get ahead of the curve and speed up the process, because the planet has been sending out warning messages for years and we have run out of time."
Eva Maneiro · CEO Russula
A world leader in technology solutions related to the digital factory, Siemens will ensure efficient, intelligent, and sustainable management in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance phases of the plant.
"This project will not only have a positive effect on their own facilities in the area of carbon footprint reduction, but it will also impact industries such as the automotive and marine sectors, where the use of greener steel will help them meet their decarbonization goals. Siemens is proud of this new plant, which will be a benchmark in the digital and sustainable transformation of the steel sector".
